About WOOFF (Welfare Of Our Furry Friends)

WOOFF was formed in 1999 to support the efforts of Anneke Vos, a long-time advocate of the homeless and their animals. The dedicated volunteers of WOOFF help make the life of the animals at Loaves and Fishes, a shelter for homeless people, better by providing:

  • Food for the shelter animals (through solicitation)
  • Collars and leashes (this event will include drop bins for donating gently used collars and leashes)
  • Continual improvements to the kennel
  • Payment for temporary boarding for abandoned animals
  • Spaying and neutering.
  • Re-homing of animals that have been abandoned throughout the local area
  • Assistance to UC Davis vet students who provide vaccinations and checkups for the animals at Loaves and Fishes
