Keep in mind: All dogs are different sizes and shapes and, therefore, will differ slightly with each feeding schedule. The above feeding guidelines are basic guidelines. Additionally, feeding quantities are greatly affected by pet activity levels. It is strongly recommended that you watch your pet's weight as your pet acclimates to the food and to make the necessary adjustments once weight observations are established. Not to sound terribly unofficial, but it's actually rather simple, if your dog begins to gain weight, feed a few ounces less per serving until desired results occur. On the other end of the spectrum, if your dog loses weight undesirably, add a few ounces per serving until the desired weight is maintained.
